[U] If Merck Decides To Go Through With A Fourth IT Hub In Austin…

This is just a shortish updating item, to ours of last Friday afternoon. The Austin (Texas) City Council has released a revised draft copy (45 page PDF file) of the site and building development agreement, under which the proposed hub would be secured. It is a draft only, but the amount Merck intends to sink into the facility is only likely to increase over time, not decrease.

While it seems Kenilworth is still evaluating other development site options, this investment would tally a little over $20 million by the company, in building out the new facility. And even at double that, it would be a rounding error, to the finances of this Goliath global pharmaceutical and bio-science company.

We will keep you informed, as the hearings down by UT Austin Med School progress, on and after April 13, 2017.

Do travel well — and do travel light, one and all. I’m out, for the night. . . . so keep it spinning in good karma! Smile.
