Great News/Update: Former President Carter No Longer Needs Keytruda® — In Sustained Remission

While we were saddened over the weekend to hear of the passing of one former First Lady, we were very gratified to read about Mr. Carter’s continuing seemingly-complete remission. The melanoma, which had spread to his brain last year, is now undetectable by MRI.

“Cured” is a word oncologists almost never responsibly use — so we (and they) will label the former President as in sustained remission. His cancer has been MRI non-detectable now, for over six months. And so, yesterday at his church, he announced that (after a comprehensive MRI scan cleared him) he is no longer being administered Merck’s Keytruda®.
